HOW TO DRESS TO PLAY PADEL?

Padel is now a common and widespread sport and does not require particular clothing to play it, but there are some that could help your way of interpreting this sport. The standard clothing of a Padel player consists of a few basic items: a t-shirt, shorts or long trousers and a pair of shoes. But there are different types and shapes of these and often it is not known which ones are the most suitable and which give greater comfort and elasticity.
The reason why Padel players look for the best clothing is to feel comfortable on the court and improve their performance. This can be achieved by using garments with the following characteristics:

- Made with soft fabrics: The softness of the clothing fabrics is important for the garment to be comfortable on our body. A comfortable garment is ideal for enjoying a match or training with a more pleasant sensation.

- Fresh and breathable: this is one of the most sought-after features by players. Garments made with materials and technologies that allow moisture and sweat to be quickly expelled.

- Light and elastic: a light garment allows the player to move with more agility and comfort on the field. An elastic garment provides flexibility to reach the most difficult balls, further away from our body, only clothes made with elastic materials can allow good stretching.

Let's take a detailed look at the clothing that can be used during a match.

T-SHIRT :

the perfect shirt for playing Padel is a technical one that fits without impeding movement, that enhances the wearer's physique and that dries as quickly as possible even if you sweat a lot during sports. The most common material is polyester, and t-shirts are usually made elastic with lycra and made light and breathable thanks to the combination with other much more specific materials.

SWEATSHIRT :

the sweatshirt is an often underestimated garment, but useful during a pre-match warm-up, or to use in the breaks between sets or after training, to protect yourself from the wind or cold of the season. As for the t-shirt, the recommended material is synthetic or polyester, like the one used for the Robin Van Persie BY-VP line, alternatively you can also use simple cotton ones.

SHORTS :

the shorts are a garment that both men and women can use, they must be soft and flexible, that can guarantee mobility in the movements and changes of direction made during the match. It should not be underestimated the fact that they must be equipped with pockets, to be able to insert the balls to be used during the service.

THERMAL SHIRT :

Thermal jersey is used to insulate the upper part of the body from the cold, it must be tight and snug, but not uncomfortable, resulting as a second layer of skin. The material used is polypropylene or polyester.

PANTS :

to cover the lower part of the body, for men, it is possible to use tights to wear under the shorts, while for women, fuseaux are often used, that is, very elastic trousers but at the same time close to the body, which can accompany the movement and keep it fluid.

SHOES :

shoes are the garment par excellence, fundamental in Padel and without the right features they can cause posture and joint problems. These must have a "herringbone" or "omnia" sole with dotted reliefs, but there are also those with a mixed sole, presenting both types of relief. They must be comfortable and above all have grip, cushioning, hold and resistance.

As in many sports, Padel also has a series of accessories that accompany the player, complete the clothing and are useful for various reasons. We find sweatbands and wristbands, as well as hats for protection from the sun's rays and to avoid unwanted glare during the game. Backpacks and bags to protect and carry the padel racket or towels useful in the breaks between one game and another.

We also remember the importance of accessories such as the overgrip for your racket. We recommend reading the article “WHAT IS HESACORE AND WHAT ARE ITS PROS AND CONS” to learn about the benefits of this accessory and how it affects our game method.
